Isabel Matos was born in Lisbon, Portugal. She also lived in Alicante (Spain), in Macao and in Beijing (China). She teaches Portuguese.

She earned two university degrees in translation and interpretation, having worked as a conference interpreter for over twenty years. She has collaborated with publishers in the translation of dictionaries and novels. And she worked as a university teacher for eight years in Beijing.

She loves photography, literature, cinema, traveling and exploring new cultures. She sees her work as a delightful means to keep learning about the world and herself.
